John Stott once said that all preachers should have a bible in one hand and a newspaper in the other.
I have my bible, and now I have found the newspaper that I most need – The Week.
The Week is a a spirited newsweekly that distills the best of news, opinions, and ideas from the U.S. and around the world.
Every week our editors comb through hundreds of newspapers, magazines and web sites, unearthing, condensing, and refining the most important news, opinion, and analysis – all to give you hours of news in just minutes of reading!
Of course it is nothing like The Economist, but I’m pretty impressed with the breadth of the materials and how much they can pack into merely 44 pages with minimal distracting ads. I guess reading more succinct writing helps us to be more clear and concise in our delivery too.
